Making maple syrup for fun in Grantham, New Hampshire.

Boiling again
Another late night. Boiled about 20 gallons +/- tonight. It's on the stove finishing now. This reduces the remaining sap to around 30 gallons. At least it's manageable.
Welcome to this blog about making maple syrup. Up here in New England, we are surrounded by sugar maples, but only a small percentage are tapped each year. Read here about my second season of backyard sugaring. I'm hoping to make maple syrup as a hobby and provide enough for ourselves and maybe some gifts. Please leave your comments!
