I guess it wasn't cold enough last night. Nothing much happened today, although I didn't check all the buckets. But, it's 23 deg. F right now. A low of 14 is forecast with a high of 50 tomorrow. That's the biggest temperature swing I've ever seen since sugaring. We'll see what happens.

We are all in the same puzzled boat. But you being a bit further north have a better chance for the season.
I am in Hillsborough and too am a bit puzzled... I have 200 taps on line, 50 of which are on vacuum. I also use 18 traditional spouts/buckets for observation and learning the best places and ways to tap. Yesterday I ended up with around 100 gallons of sap. PrecisionEquipment@hotmail.com
I guess the weather just isn't in our favor this year!
This morning the sap began running early. I am finishing 1 1/2 gallons now. We will have to see what happens today. The beginning of next week looks favorable. There are some pics on my Facebook page. You'll have to send a request. Name: Todd Horstkotte
