More people making syrup
Well, more people are tapping trees anyway. A couple co-workers have tapped trees for the first time. It will be fun to see how their experiment goes! I'm always amazed at how many people in this area make syrup on a small scale - and how many others have been involved on a larger scale.

The "strange thing" is that if we only made enough syrup for us then we would be done for the season, and the season is just starting. Thirteen taps -- two boils and we have close to a gallon of syrup, with over 30 gallons of sap still waiting to be cooked down.
I can see why more and more people are getting involved. It's fun, and sweetly rewarding.
