Day 9: 3/14/08 Sap's runnin'
Warm day, sap's coming out. Not terribly fast yet, but it looks like the start of something. Warmer weather is coming next week. For now, I'm freezing the sap.
Welcome to this blog about making maple syrup. Up here in New England, we are surrounded by sugar maples, but only a small percentage are tapped each year. Read here about my second season of backyard sugaring. I'm hoping to make maple syrup as a hobby and provide enough for ourselves and maybe some gifts. Please leave your comments!
